Terms and Conditions
Last updated:4 July 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms and conditions govern access to and use of the «Aideo» service (the «Service»), published by TIK Ventures SRL (BE0781371523), Avenue Louise 231, 1050 Brussels («We»). By creating an account, you (the «Client») accept these terms and conditions without reservation.
The Service is primarily intended for consumers who are natural persons residing in Belgium. Legal persons may access it, but these terms and conditions are drafted within the framework of Belgian consumer law. Any use in a professional context is undertaken under the sole responsibility of the user, without the benefit of consumer-specific protections.
2. Description of the Service
Aideo is a home care-monitoring journal enabling a family to follow the well-being of a loved one who remains at home, through observations left by caregivers who scan a QR code during their visits. The Service includes: creating a family account, creating a care recipient profile, generating a printable QR code, consulting a visit journal, and sending a notification email after each visit.
At launch, the Service is limited to one care recipient per account.
Aideo is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. It does not constitute a care service, medical monitoring or emergency assistance service, and under no circumstances replaces professional medical advice, therapeutic follow-up or a call to emergency services. In the event of an emergency, call 112.
3. Registration and account
The Client must provide accurate information and keep their password confidential. The Client is responsible for all activity carried out via their account. The Client warrants that they are of legal age and legally capable of entering into a contract.
4. Client undertakings relating to the care recipient and health data
The Client represents and warrants:
- that they are authorised to set up monitoring of the care recipient and to process the care recipient’s data, including their health data;
- that they have obtained the consent of the care recipient or their legal representative;
- that they have informed the care recipient of the existence and purpose of the monitoring.
The Client indemnifies Aideo against any claim by a third party (in particular the care recipient or another family member) arising from a breach of these undertakings.
5. Price and payment terms
- The subscription costs €19 inclusive of VAT per month (Belgian VAT of 21% included).
- Payment is made monthly by bank card via our payment provider.
- Free trial: every new Client benefits from a 14-day free trial. A bank card is requested at sign-up, but no amount is charged before the end of the trial. At the end of the 14 days, unless cancelled beforehand, the paid subscription begins and the first payment is taken.
We reserve the right to amend our prices. Any price change will be notified to the Client by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. The Client retains the right to cancel free of charge before the new price takes effect.
6. Duration and cancellation
The subscription is entered into with no minimum term. The Client may cancel at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, from their account or by writing to hello@aideo.be. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period already paid for; no pro-rata refund is made for the month already begun.
In the event of payment default (expired bank card, insufficient funds or refused direct debit), we will send the Client a notification by email. If the situation is not regularised within 7 days of that notification, access to the Service will be suspended until the situation is regularised.
7. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article VI.47 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the consumer Client has a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the conclusion of the contract.
This right is fully covered by the 14-day free trial period: during this period, the Client may end the Service at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, from their account or by writing to hello@aideo.be. No amount is charged before the end of this period.
On expiry of the 14-day trial, the paid subscription begins and the statutory right of withdrawal is exhausted. The Client nevertheless retains the option to cancel at any time under the conditions set out in § 6.
8. Availability and maintenance
We endeavour to ensure the availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Interruptions for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control may occur.
8 bis. Force majeure
Aideo’s liability may not be engaged if the performance of its obligations is delayed or rendered impossible due to an event of force majeure within the meaning of Belgian law. We will inform the Client as soon as possible and resume performance of the Service as soon as the event has ceased.
9. Liability
9.1 Nature of the Service
Aideo is a communication tool enabling caregivers to pass on informal observations to a loved one’s family. It does not, under any circumstances, constitute:
- a medical device within the meaning of applicable European regulations;
- a monitoring, care or medical assistance service;
- an emergency service or a response service for critical situations.
In the event of a medical emergency, call 112.
9.2 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Belgian law applicable to consumers, and without prejudice to the Client’s mandatory rights:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. Interruptions due to maintenance, technical incidents or causes beyond our control may occur.
- We are not liable for any delay in, or failure of, receipt of a notification email resulting from a spam filter, a failure of the sending provider, or a configuration error on the recipient’s side.
- We are not liable for observations that are inaccurate, incomplete or not entered by a caregiver. The quality and completeness of the information transmitted are the sole responsibility of the caregiver.
- We are not liable for decisions taken by the family on the basis of observations transmitted via the Service.
- We are not liable for direct or indirect damage resulting from access to, or use of, the Service, including temporary inaccessibility, data loss on the user’s side, or any damage affecting the Client’s IT equipment while using the Service.
10. Intellectual property
All elements of the Service (the Aideo brand, logo, interface, code) remain our exclusive property. The data entered (observations, notes) remain the property of the persons concerned; we do not acquire any ownership right over it and use it only for the purposes described in the privacy policy.
11. Personal data
The processing of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms and conditions.
12. Amendment of the terms and conditions
We may amend these terms and conditions. Any substantial amendment will be notified at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance; failing that, the Client may cancel.
13. Applicable law and mediation
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the Client is invited to contact us first at hello@aideo.be.
Failing an amicable solution, the consumer Client may contact the Consumer Mediation Service (Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur): Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 box 1, 1000 Brussels — contact@mediationconsommateur.be — www.mediationconsommateur.be.
